Quickly edit and publish on the Web from spreadsheets

For a client we developed a platform for fast publishing on the web. The work process is to import a spreadsheet with products.

The ease of inline editing

Spreadsheets remain a well used tools in many businesses. Although only Google Docs has a very good alternative online, many people still use spreadsheets on desktop or laptop.

The reason is the quickly editable cells. Therefore we tried to mimic this with inline editing the cell for the users. With TAB or ENTER you can quickly navigate through each cell.

So the products then can be easily priced inline in the webapplication as in a spreadsheet.

Also other product details can be changed on the fly.

Managing pricing per client

The pricing margin per client can also be adjusted. The manager can add each user/client in a price group and accordingly price per item as they wish. The edited product list can published as a stocklist online, viewable for registered customers.

Complete with login system

The platform is build with registered users only.

A simple to use interface for adding products to the order list. It is quicker and easier then most used shopping cart interfaces. just by using TAB and ENTER the user can add and manage the order basket.

All clients have a complete order history and invoices online. How useful!

From the online stocklist the clients can order and/or immediately pay.

Profit calculator for clients

One of the most important but nevertheless least found calculators is how to calculate your cost-profit-margin. That is why we implemented a cost/break-even calculator. The clients can fill in some parameters and have their cost price and possible profit in a few seconds.
